| \n Recent announce\u00adments of dras\u00adtic cuts in the bud\u00adgets allo\u00adcat\u00aded to cul\u00adture, sport, com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty life, pop\u00adu\u00adlar edu\u00adca\u00adtion and civic engage\u00adment in Pays de la Loire have aroused deep indig\u00adna\u00adtion.<\/p>\n Reduc\u00ading sub\u00adsi\u00addies for essen\u00adtial activ\u00adi\u00adties that pro\u00admote eman\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtion and social cohe\u00adsion in such a bru\u00adtal way weak\u00adens our col\u00adlec\u00adtive fab\u00adric, sti\u00adfles local ini\u00adtia\u00adtives and denies the impor\u00adtance of the com\u00admon good.<\/p>\n Madam Chair\u00adman, in a mes\u00adsage post\u00aded on a social net\u00adwork, you jus\u00adti\u00adfied this move by ques\u00adtion\u00ading the sus\u00adtain\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty of a sys\u00adtem \u201cdepen\u00addent on pub\u00adlic mon\u00adey\u201d. This state\u00adment is tan\u00adta\u00admount to a frontal attack on the found\u00ading val\u00adues of our repub\u00adli\u00adcan and demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic mod\u00adel, and under\u00admines the very mean\u00ading of ini\u00adtia\u00adtives serv\u00ading the gen\u00ader\u00adal inter\u00adest. <\/p>\n Cul\u00adture and sol\u00adi\u00addar\u00adi\u00adty : pil\u00adlars to be defend\u00aded, not sac\u00adri\u00adficed<\/strong><\/p>\n Cul\u00adture, sport, pop\u00adu\u00adlar edu\u00adca\u00adtion and com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty life in gen\u00ader\u00adal are not super\u00adflu\u00adous expen\u00addi\u00adtures : they are essen\u00adtial invest\u00adments<\/strong>. Cul\u00adture nour\u00adish\u00ades our minds, sport main\u00adtains our bod\u00adies, asso\u00adcia\u00adtive life sup\u00adports our ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adries and civic engage\u00adment strength\u00adens our democ\u00adra\u00adcy. These fields con\u00adtribute to the qual\u00adi\u00adty of life of the region\u2019s habitant\u2219es, and to the trans\u00admis\u00adsion of val\u00adues of sol\u00adi\u00addar\u00adi\u00adty and shar\u00ading. They are the levers of a diver\u00adsi\u00adfied econ\u00ado\u00admy, anchored in the ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adries and gen\u00ader\u00adat\u00ading local jobs that can\u00adnot be relo\u00adcat\u00aded. <\/p>\n Dis\u00adre\u00adgard for pub\u00adlic respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties<\/strong><\/p>\n Shared cul\u00adtur\u00adal com\u00adpe\u00adtence has been rec\u00adog\u00adnized by sev\u00ader\u00adal fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal texts of our Repub\u00adlic. Sim\u00adi\u00adlar\u00adly, the LCAP law of 2016 reaf\u00adfirms the impor\u00adtance of pub\u00adlic poli\u00adcies built in con\u00adsul\u00adta\u00adtion with cultural\u2219les and actors. <\/p>\n Reduc\u00ading the resources devot\u00aded to these poli\u00adcies is a vio\u00adlent and pro\u00adfound attack on these com\u00admit\u00adments. It ignores the fact that cul\u00adture, sport and com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty life are the guar\u00adan\u00adtors of the diver\u00adsi\u00adty, inclu\u00adsion and vital\u00adi\u00adty of our regions. <\/p>\n The price of aban\u00addon\u00adment<\/strong><\/p>\n With a 70% cut in cul\u00adtur\u00adal sub\u00adsi\u00addies, local cul\u00adtur\u00adal venues will close, fes\u00adti\u00advals will die out, artis\u00adtic teams will dis\u00adap\u00adpear, with a direct effect on employ\u00adment in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n With few\u00ader resources for cul\u00adture, sport and com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty life, thou\u00adsands of res\u00adi\u00addents will lose out on oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties for sol\u00adi\u00addar\u00adi\u00adty, encoun\u00adters, well-being and eman\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtion.<\/p>\n If we deval\u00adue civic engage\u00adment, our abil\u00adi\u00adty to act togeth\u00ader in the face of demo\u00adc\u00adra\u00adt\u00adic, social, eco\u00adnom\u00adic and envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal crises will be erod\u00aded.<\/p>\n This dis\u00adman\u00adtling reflects a short-sight\u00aded eco\u00adnom\u00adic vision, ignor\u00ading the fact that what is not financed today will cost much more tomor\u00adrow, in the form of iso\u00adla\u00adtion, increased inequal\u00adi\u00adty and loss of social cohe\u00adsion.<\/p>\n Our appeal : a unit\u00aded front for pub\u00adlic pol\u00adi\u00adcy<\/strong><\/p>\n We call on all cit\u00adi\u00adzens, cul\u00adtur\u00adal, sport\u00ading and asso\u00adcia\u00adtive play\u00aders, as well as all elect\u00aded rep\u00adre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtives attached\u2219es to the gen\u00ader\u00adal inter\u00adest, to mobi\u00adlize on Mon\u00adday Novem\u00adber 25, start\u00ading at 8:30am, in front of the Pays de la Loire Region\u00adal Hall, against this reduc\u00adtive vision of pub\u00adlic poli\u00adcies. We demand that the Region review its bud\u00adgetary arbi\u00adtra\u00adtions, respect its pub\u00adlic respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties and renew its com\u00admit\u00adment to the com\u00admon good. <\/p>\n At a time when we are call\u00ading for gov\u00adern\u00admen\u00adtal arbi\u00adtra\u00adtion in favor of the ter\u00adri\u00adto\u00adries, we will not tol\u00ader\u00adate aus\u00adter\u00adi\u00adty falling on the most pre\u00adcar\u00adi\u00adous ini\u00adtia\u00adtives, which are not seek\u00ading prof\u00adit but social util\u00adi\u00adty, which are not clos\u00ading their work\u00adplaces but fight\u00ading every day to main\u00adtain local employ\u00adment, which take care of our hearts and minds to build a more serene and shared future.<\/p>\n This unprece\u00addent\u00aded attack in the Pays de la Loire region is just the tip of the ice\u00adberg, as we are cur\u00adrent\u00adly receiv\u00ading numer\u00adous alerts from many dif\u00adfer\u00adent regions. That\u2019s why we\u2019re protest\u00ading this region\u00adal sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion, just as we will wher\u00adev\u00ader nec\u00ades\u00adsary, to ensure that the aus\u00adter\u00adi\u00adty wind blown by the gov\u00adern\u00adment does\u00adn\u2019t spread the fire to the whole of France. <\/p>\n We won\u2019t give up. Cul\u00adtur\u00adal rights, diver\u00adsi\u00adty of prac\u00adtice, asso\u00adcia\u00adtive vital\u00adi\u00adty and civic com\u00admit\u00adment are not options.
