Networking / Professional meetings
Networking means bringing people together, across all territories, to share practices, visions and experiences, and thus develop collective intelligence.
These meetings also enable members to keep abreast of the latest developments in the music industry and to present their projects and news. They are also deliberately designed with spaces for informal exchanges, which often lead to collaborations.
Professional meetings are organized by Zone Franche in two ways :
- or in a dedicated setting, such as a meeting day following the Annual General Meeting ;
- or as part of a special event, festival, trade show, etc. The latter enables us to maintain a dynamic of movement, cross-fertilization of players and openness to non-members, while ensuring that the network’s actions are present in the regions and internationally.
The network’s regional and international presence
The network’s presence in the regions is essential in a dynamic of deconcentration of the network’s activities, a deconcentration that is indispensable for being as close as possible to the players and their local realities.
Zone Franche organizes professional meetings throughout France and abroad. Zone Franche will continue its regional (or local, in the case of other continents) structuring process, supported by its local members.
The regional networks in France that are members of Zone Franche are :
- Bretagne(s) World Sounds (BWS) ;
- Center des Musiques Traditionnelles Rhône-Alpes (CMTRA);
- Le Collectif Musiques et danses du Monde en Ile-de-France ;
- Le PAM — Pôle de coopération des Acteurs de la filière Musicale (southern region).
- PRMA — Pôle Régional des Musiques Actuelles de La Réunion.
Zone Franche’s international member networks are :
- European Folk Network ;
- The Regional Center for the Performing Arts in Africa.
